In today’s generation women is such a power that nothing is impossible for her if she decides to make it happen. Today a woman has a very prominent role in the society as compared to men, because she manages both her house and profession effectively at the same time.

Most of the time many women do have the potential to become a big successor in their business but it remains largely untapped due to lack of access to financial services, skills and opportunities, information of government facilities and knowledge of making the best use of resources. Lack of knowledge and proper guidance restrict their abilities and so the income.

In India, only 14 percent women are currently self employed. A recent survey conducted by international bank BNP Paribas has ranked India at the top for the highest percentage of women entrepreneurs but according to facts revealed by the 6th Economic Census by NSSO, women eentrepreneurs still have to grow more to match numbers with the male counterparts. The survey also revealed that most of these women who run companies are small scale and self-financed.

To tackle this current scenario Business Management institutes such as NMIMS has come up with a unique concept especially for women. NMIMS have designed a programme only for women, which gives them overall knowledge, ideas to enhance their small business and transform it into a large income source. The programme is called Enterprise Training Programme For Women (ETW). While Indian enterprise ownership is currently tilted towards men, NMIMS believe that Indian women have the potential and passion to catch up with them and transform entrepreneurship into a big enterprise ownership.

The ETW Program is one of its kind in India which has been adapted from a reputed program offered by the University of Sterling, Scotland, which has met with remarkable success in Scotland and other parts of Europe over the years.

Here you will get individual weekly counselling, practical knowledge by visiting to micro enterprises handled by women. Also various leading women entrepreneurs are invited to share their experiences.
