Students of NMIMS, Indore Campus won accolades and prizes for their innovative ideas at Technovate-Intercollege -Competition-2017, organized by American company AAIway Inc. The event promotes advanced application innovation in students, was held at the Prestige Institute of Engineering Management and Research, Indore on 11th October. The event was a platform that prepares students for a career in the era of automation.
The golden trophy was won the team of NMIMS comprising of MBA Tech students, Rahul Singh and Vaibhav Pande. Their idea of RFID-based traffic control won over the judges and the audience, and were praised for their innovative approach to mounting traffic problems. The trophy was presented by presented by Dr. Narendra Gore, CEO of AAIway Inc. The second place was also won by another team from NMIMS, comprising of Dhanay Turakhia and Apurva Kumar. They presented a unique idea of Ziplock-based plastic packaging tubes. Both the teams first year students of the MBA Tech programmes, and were mentored by Prof. (Dr.) Rajarshi Sarkar of School of Technology Management and Engineering, NMIMS-Indore Campus.
The enthusiasm of the students and the hard work that they put into innovation, is a testimony to the fact that there is no dearth of bright minds in India. With college-level nurturing of these values, students of India and use automation as a platform to solve large-scale problems that can bring about revolutionary changes.
