NAAC Accredits NMIMS with A+ Grade

Here is another feather to NMIMS’ cap. Days after NMIMS University was ranked 6th in the category of the top 10 Business school in India by the esteemed newspaper- Economic times, it has achieved another mile stone by receiving coveted grade from naacNational Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). With ace score in all seven parameters of NAAC, the university has scored A+ grade with Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.59 out of four point scale.

Seven constituent schools of NMIMS (Mumbai Campus) 1. School of Business Management 2. Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering 3. Shobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School of Pharmacy & Technology Management 4. Balwant Sheth School of Architecture 5. Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce 6. Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics and 7. Sunandan Divatia School of Science were examined by NAAC for the Accreditation and graded with A+.

In its third cycle of accreditation and assessment the varsity has proven its ability of constant growth in the field of best teaching practice, research, infrastructure and  student progress. Earlier NMIMS had received Five Star accreditation in the year 1995 and re-accredited with grade ‘A’ in 2005.

With a legacy of 36 years, NMIMS has not only grown as one of the top B-schools in India but has also emerged as a multi-disciplinary University with 6 campuses at Mumbai, Shirpur, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore and Navi Mumbai and 12 constituent schools that include Management, Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Commerce, Business Economics, Science, Law, Aviation, Liberal Arts, Design and Distance Learning.

While addressing to the entire crowd gathered to celebrate the success of NAAC accreditation, the Vice Chancellor of the university Dr. Rajan Saxena said, “Due to sudden change in an accreditation methodology, we merely had one month to prepare for self-accreditation report. However keeping aside all the hurdles, our professors and staff aggressively worked towards the deadline. I believe that we really have accomplished an outstanding result because we have worked towards our goal like a whole community.”

By appreciating the entire team of NMIMS who worked for the NAAC assessment, Dr. Mina Chintamaneni, Registrar of the varsity said, “By putting trust on our ability, our senior authority have given enough freedom to work towards the common cause. We have worked day and night to meet the deadlines and come up with best results. It’s indeed a time of celebration for all of us.”

 

 

 

 

The SVKM’s Joint President Mr. Bhupesh Patel said, “It was a collective effort of all the staffers, teaching faculty members and students. I congratulate to all, of them for a successful year and for getting A+ grade by NAAC.”
