Dr. Bala Prabhakar

According to Dean of SPPSPTM, Dr. Bala Prabhakar, “The primary drivers in selection of the institution for students and parents are the opportunity-cost or the value-added potential proffered by the institute. The first choice for such information would be the rankings provided by the Government of India. Rankings are instrumental in building reputation both nationally and globally. A rank 9 in Pharmacy Category by NIRF, Ministry of Human Resource Development places the school in top league of institutions in Pharmacy Category in the country- 3rd in the state, 3rd in the city and 1st position in private Deemed-to-be-University category. Therefore, a private institute to be recognized on a platform such as this, guarantees a student high- quality education that will catapult their careers.”

The survey was conducted on the basis of categories such as- teaching learning and resources that include the core learning activities of the institute; research and professional Practices to ensure that learning and first hand experience are closely associated; graduation outcomes which is the ultimate test of effectiveness of an educational institute; outreach and inclusivity that tests the institutes outlook towards students with special needs and women and lastly, perception, to test how the institute is perceived by their contemporaries and students. With excellent lab facilities, good teaching and learning practices based majorly on student feedback system, it is a pharmacy school conducting various graduate, postgraduate and research programs in pharmaceutical sciences. In the past the school has received several awards for its quality education, one of them being the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi National Quality Award for MSME Scale Service by Bureau of Indian Standards.

The prestigious award is another feather in the hat for NMIMS and SPPSPTM and is emblematic of the school’s endeavor to provide a skilled workforce and thereby add an intrinsic value to the nation’s economy.

Dr. R. S. Gaud

“Our students are our pride.  They are the torchbearers. True success of an organization is measured through the success of the student community.  They through their enthusiasm have made our organization a force to be reckoned with both in co-curricular to extracurricular activities.” says, Dr. Gaud. Director- Pharma Institutions, SVKM.

“Recognition of this magnitude for any private organization which is still in its infancy provides the much needed boost for its growth and performance. We are indebted to the government authorities for acknowledging our small efforts in propagation of the pharmacy knowledge through different spheres- academics as well as research” he says.

With a booming pharma industry worth well over 250 Million USD, SVKM’s NMIMS- SPPSPTM has carved its place in ensuring this industry is complimented by a steady flow of young, skilled pharma experts that will further fuel the growth of this mammoth industry. The government-lauded award is a testimony that SPPSPTM has established their spot in not just the pharma sector, but also, and more importantly, in the education sector.
