SVKM’S NMIMS Chandigarh Hosts Anviksha 2.0,A Student-Led Celebration of Innovation and Talent

Chandigarh, September, 2025:The School of Technology Management and Engineering (STME), NMIMS Chandigarh, successfully concluded its annual techno-cultural fest Anviksha 2.0 on Saturday, September 13, 2025. The event, organised entirely by students, turned the campus into a hub of creativity, innovation, and youthful energy, drawing participation from across disciplines.

Air Marshal Raj Karan Singh Shera, the Chief Guest, and Dr. Satish Kumar (CSIO), the Guest of Honour, inaugurated the fest. The event began with a Saraswati Vandana and Lamp Lighting Ceremony by the dignitaries, Director Dr. Jyostna Singh, Deputy Registrar Mr.Abhinav Kaushik, and faculty members, followed by the NMIMS Anthem. Students also showcased their talent through vibrant cultural performances, adding a celebratory spirit to the occasion. Both dignitaries applauded the initiative and encouraged participants to continue exploring new ideas with passion and determination.

Sharing her thoughts, Dr. Jyostna Singh, Campus Director & Associate Dean of STME, NMIMS Chandigarh, said, “Anviksha reflects the true meaning of seeking and exploration, which is the essence of engineering and technology. At NMIMS Chandigarh, we believe learning should go beyond classrooms through initiatives like  Outside Class Academic Collaboration (OCAC). This festival is a platform where students collaborate, apply their technical knowledge creatively, and build essential skills. I congratulate all our student organizers for their wonderful efforts in making Anviksha 2.0 a success.”

This year’s edition of Anviksha featured a wide variety of competitions and attractions. Technical contests such as Bug Busters, Design Scape, Bridge Wars, Seek & Solve, Pixel Forge, and Logic League tested problem-solving and innovation. Non-technical events like Pitch & Play, Techie Tambola, Secret Seekers, Tech Tunes, and Array Pata Hai? kept the creative spirit alive. A buzzing gaming zone, featuring Rocket League, Mortal Kombat, and FIFA 24, was a major crowd-puller. Special highlights such as the Robo Race and Photography Showcase added to the excitement.

Expressing his views, Air Marshal Raj Karan Singh Shera said, “It is a matter of great pride to be at NMIMS Chandigarh for Anviksha 2.0 and to be among the young students, the future engineers of our country. You are fortunate to have chosen the profession of creators, as innovation and disruptive thinking will shape the future. Along with technical knowledge, developing soft skills like communication, presentation, and teamwork is equally vital. As India moves towards becoming a global economic leader, it is you, the youth, who will drive this progress with confidence and pride.”

Dr. Satish Kumar added, “I am truly honoured to be part of this event, and the proudest moment is sharing the stage with Air Marshal Raj Karan Singh Shera ji, who has always been a true motivator and mentor. His constant push for indigenous and future-ready innovations reminds us that the next generation must fill this gap. From advanced aircraft systems to societal needs like affordable medical devices, India has a vast market and immense opportunities. Events like this not only connect us but also showcase courage, zeal, and leadership. You, the younger minds, are the true manpower who will drive Make in India and shape the future.”

With vibrant participation, engaging activities, and strong student leadership, Anviksha 2.0 concluded on a high note, reinforcing NMIMS Chandigarh’s reputation as a centre for holistic education and innovation.
