Recently, SVKM’s NMIMS Bengaluru experienced one such moment as Dr Narayani Ramachandran, Campus Director, received the Outstanding Director Award in Education at the Business School Affaire & Dewang Mehta National Education Leadership Awards 2025. It marks a proud milestone for the campus and reflects years of committed academic leadership.
Dr Narayani’s journey with SKVM’s NMIMS has been built on discipline, clarity of purpose, and an unwavering belief in high-quality education. Her work continues to shape the learning environment, empower students, and strengthen the institution’s standing in the management education landscape.
A Leader Who Grows Institutions and People
Dr Narayani brings over two decades of academic and administrative experience. She has served SVKM’s NMIMS Bengaluru in several roles, including Associate Professor of Finance since 2012 and during 2007–2009. Her academic footprint also spans Thiagarajar School of Management, where she began her career as a Lecturer and later as a Senior Lecturer. She has also contributed as visiting faculty at BIM, Bengaluru.
Her strong academic foundation includes a PhD, an MBA and a Master of Finance and Control. She is a Gold Medallist in her MBA programme and a University First Rank Holder in MFC, achievements that highlight her lifelong commitment to academic excellence.
Research, Impact, and a Vision for the Future
Alongside her leadership responsibilities, Dr Narayani continues to contribute to research in areas that hold increasing relevance in today’s financial landscape. Her current work focuses on corporate finance, financial modelling, infrastructure financing and financial derivatives. These fields continue to influence industry decisions, making her academic contributions both timely and impactful.
Her award comes at a time when SVKM’s NMIMS Bengaluru is expanding its academic reach and strengthening its reputation as a centre for management and professional education.
