NMIMS Kirit P. Mehta School of Law successfully conducted the 10th Intra Moot Court Competition on 21st–22nd February 2026 at the Old Mukesh Patel Building, bringing together over 120 law students for an engaging and competitive mooting experience. The event aimed to strengthen students’ advocacy, research, and courtroom skills through a structured simulation of judicial proceedings.
Focus on Emerging Legal Challenges
This year’s moot proposition centred on Deepfake Technology, Cyber Law, and Constitutional Law, exposing participants to complex contemporary issues shaping India’s legal landscape. Conducted in collaboration with Fox Mandal and Desai Desai Carrimjee & Mulla, the competition offered students the opportunity to engage with leading law firms and gain professional insights.
Strong Participation and Professional Evaluation
Organised by the Moot Court Committee and convened by Ms. Arushi Chauhan, Ms. Akanksha Kumar, and Dr. Sonika Bhardwaj, the competition featured multiple rounds judged by a panel of 20+ legal professionals, including Tier 1 Associates, Senior Associates, and practising advocates. Students were assessed on oral advocacy, legal research, court etiquette, and written submissions, with teams consisting of Speaker 1, Speaker 2, and a Researcher.
Pathway to National Moots and Internships
Top-scoring participants became eligible for selection to national and international moot court competitions, while the Top 5 Speakers and Researchers received internship opportunities with partnering law firms. The event provided students with hands-on exposure to litigation practices and enhanced their confidence, analytical abilities, and professional conduct.
