Grand Inauguration Marks the Beginning of ICNGT-2025 at NMIMS Shirpur 

Shirpur, March 28 – The International Conference on Next Generation Technologies for Sustainable Development (ICNGT-2025) began with a grand inauguration ceremony at SVKM’s NMIMS Shirpur Campus. The event was graced by Shri Rajgopal Bhandari, Mentor of campus, Mrs. Rita Patel, In-charge of the Campus. 

Joining the event virtually, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ramesh Bhat, along with Pro Vice-Chancellors Dr. Sharad Mhaiskar and Dr. Meena Chintamaneni, extended their warm wishes and appreciation for the conference, The inaugural day witnessed the convergence of academicians, researchers, and industry experts from across the country and abroad, aiming to explore innovations in sustainable development through technology. Dr Sunita R Patil,  Director of Shirpur campus and Chairperson of the conference briefed the conference and set the tone for the event.  

The Chief Guest of the conference, Dr. Deepak Talwar, Chief AI & Cyber Security Officer at Asteria Visions, Singapore, delivered the keynote address on the theme “AI and Human Symbiosis for a Fair and Empowering Technological Future.”  He spoke on the essential theme of “AI and Human Symbiosis for a Fair and Empowering Technological Future.” Further sessions included Dr. Ashok Kadlag, Principal Scientist, Head of crop production & crop protection, Vasantdada Sugar Institute, Pune spoke on “Challenges and Opportunities in Sugarcane Farming”.  He addressed critical issues such as climate change, water scarcity, pest infestations, and fluctuating market conditions, all of which affect the productivity and sustainability of sugarcane farming. 

Post-lunch, Dr. Javed Shaikh, Professor, IIT Delhi delivered an engaging talk on “Sustainable Development of Protective Textiles using Functional Dyes and Auxiliaries”. His presentation focused on the development of advanced protective textiles that combine environmental sustainability with multifunctional performance. 

A major highlight of the day was the Oral and Poster Presentations, where over 100 researchers showcased their work across various interdisciplinary tracks in healthcare, Agricultural, Textiles, Education, Engineering & Technology. The oral and poster presentations were evaluated by senior academicians from reputed University and institutions across India and globe. The event reflected the vibrant academic spirit of NMIMS Shirpur, bringing together knowledge, innovation, and collaboration on one platform. The conference continues on March 29 with more sessions, expert talks, and scientific exchanges. Tomorrow session will highlight on The future of Sustainable agriculture in the US by Dr. Harmit Singh from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, United States), Autonomous AI Agents for Environmental Monitoring and Resource Optimization by Dr. Sudhamsh Reddy from AI/ML@Qlik , Ex Data Science, United States. Upscaling Curcumin Metabolite Biomimetic Attributes via Lipid Vesicle Encapsulation and Enhancing Stability by 3D-Printed Composite Reinforcement by Dr. Sudarshan Singh from Chiang Mai University, Thailand. and Non-invasive strategies for peptide delivery by Dr. Vandana Patravale from Institute of Chemical Technology, (ICT), Mumbai, India with oral and poster presentations by the delegates. The conference witnesses the successful discussions on sustainable development.
