NMIMS School of Mathematics, Applied Statistics & Analytics Signs MoU with Capgemini

As organizations navigate the influx of Gen Z and Gen Alpha talent, young graduates are proving to be powerful drivers of innovation,SVKM’s NSoMASA and Capgemini, a global business and technology transformation partner, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently, This event was graced by Prof. Sushil Kulkarni, Dean of NSoMASA, and Harinder Chatrath, Executive Vice President, Global Enterprise Package Based Solutions India Leader, at Capgemini,The partnership goes beyond traditional campus tie-ups.

NSoMASA students will work on live industry projects, apply emerging technologies including Generative AI, and gain mentorship from industry experts. Faculty members will also participate in workshops and training to ensure academic curricula remain aligned with rapidly evolving industry demands. Guest lectures, hands-on assignments, and structured mentorship programs are all designed to translate classroom learning into measurable business impact.

Prof. Sushil Kulkarni highlighted the opportunity for students to put theory into practice: “We are fortunate to partner with Capgemini, which allows our students to take classroom learning into real- world challenges. Many of our alumni are already associated with the company, and this collaboration strengthens those bonds while creating new pathways for our graduates. This MoU reflects our shared vision of preparing students who are not only skilled but also innovative and adaptable.”

NSoMASA students bring a combination of technical depth and fresh perspectives. Their training spans statistical techniques, machine learning, deep learning, CNN, RNN, cloud computing, and digital security, the skills driving today’s technology revolution, while their natural curiosity challenges established ways of thinking.

This partnership signals a shift in how companies view academic collaboration: from a traditional recruiting exercise to a laboratory for innovation, where student creativity directly drives business transformation.
