ENVISION 2K26 at NMIMS Bangalore School of Commerce: Shaping the Future of Digital Marketplaces and Purpose-Driven Innovation

The BBA Student Council of NMIMS Bangalore School of Commerce successfully hosted ENVISION 2K26, a two-day conclave that explored how emerging digital ecosystems such as the metaverse, gaming, AI, and immersive technologies are rapidly evolving into real marketplaces. The event emphasized how innovation in virtual spaces translates into sustainable careers, businesses, and economic value in the real world.

The conclave examined the transformation of digital ecosystems from experimental platforms into functioning marketplaces that shape careers, businesses, and consumer behavior. Sessions highlighted the importance of aligning creativity, technology, and human insight with commercial reality. Speakers underscored that long-term relevance depends on adaptability, strong fundamentals, empathy, and purpose-driven innovation rather than chasing short-term trends.

Industry Leaders Share Insights on Creativity, AI, and Human-Centric Innovation

Through diverse perspectives from fashion, finance, gaming, and customer experience, ENVISION 2K26 showcased how industries are leveraging digital innovation to create meaningful impact.

Dr. Tanaya Majumder, Program Chairperson – BBA, stated, “ENVISION is not just an event, it is a mindset; a space where curiosity meets courage, boundaries are challenged, bold thinking is inspired, and leaders are shaped with purpose.”

Gaurav Raheja, Creative Director, Van Heusen, Aditya Birla Group, emphasized that design is not merely artistic expression but a business tool to sell, scale, and remain relevant. He highlighted how AI accelerates processes but cannot replace human intuition and emotional understanding, stressing that timeless brands thrive on quality, versatility, and clear positioning.

Dinesh Nainani, Chief Financial Officer, Jaguar Land Rover Technologies, discussed the shift from metaverse to marketplace, stressing the need for financial discipline, regulatory awareness, and robust business models. He explained immersive technologies like VR and digital twins while cautioning against risks such as funding appetite and brand dilution, especially for luxury brands.

Saurabh Shah, Head of People Operations, KRAFTON India, presented gaming as a complete ecosystem and marketplace. He spoke about AI, esports, entrepreneurship, and career pathways, highlighting KRAFTON’s “To India, For India” approach and its role in nurturing future-ready talent through incubators and a fan-first ethos.

Reena Evans, Former Head of Customer Experience Operations & Strategy, Stable Money, emphasized impact-driven leadership, trust, and accountability in customer-centric industries. She highlighted the balance between AI-driven efficiency and human connection, stressing that empathy, transparency, and sustainable growth matter more than short-lived success.
