In his convocation address, Dr. Ramesh B. Baheti stated:
“Students graduating today are fortunate to receive their degrees. However, a degree alone does not make one a leader. Leadership must be built on character, because without character, there can be no true leadership. I urge students to remain grateful to their parents and teachers—Matrudev Bhava, Pitrudev Bhava, Gurudev Bhava—whose sacrifices and guidance shape their journey. In today’s times, education without character and business without morality cannot build a great nation. Students must therefore place the highest emphasis on character.”
He added, “Not everyone can become an Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, or Bill Gates. Students must begin by becoming good managers, learn continuously, and have the humility to accept more competent leadership. Ego, jealousy, and anger are among the greatest enemies of mankind.”
He concluded by saying, “Life is a challenge—face it. Life is a game—play it. Life is love—share it. And life is a dream—realise it.”
The ceremony concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by CMA Dr. Niranjan Shastri, followed by the official declaration of closure, the National Anthem, and a celebratory group photograph session.
The convocation witnessed the active presence and guidance of mentors including Shri Ajay Bankda, who played a pivotal role in the institution’s journey and in the conduct of the ceremony.
Dressed in traditional attire, graduates, faculty members, and families shared moments of pride and celebration, marking the culmination of an important academic chapter and the beginning of promising professional journeys. The ceremony reflected NMIMS’ continued commitment to nurturing future‑ready leaders grounded in values, academic rigor, and social responsibility.
