Mumbai, April 2026: SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) has announced a new leadership structure for its flagship School of Business Management (SBM), Mumbai, aimed at strengthening institutional capabilities and supporting its next phase of growth.
As the founding and oldest management school within the NMIMS ecosystem, SBM Mumbai has built a distinguished 45-year legacy in management education, leadership development, and industry engagement and it boasts on its global standards endorsed by reputed AACSB and EQUIS accreditations. The introduction of a collective institutional leadership model reflects the school’s intent to further enhance consolidate its position as top tier business school.
The new structure brings dedicated leadership focus to three strategic priorities: academic excellence, research and innovation, and institutional advancement. It also reflects the changing landscape of business education, shaped by technology, sustainability, globalization, and evolving employer expectations.
Leadership Appointments at SBM Mumbai
- Dr. Veena Vohra has been appointed Dean – Accreditation and Strategic Initiatives, with responsibility for accreditation, rankings, quality enhancement, and strengthening alumni, corporate, international partnerships and faculty management for SBM Mumbai.
- Dr. Mayank Joshipura has been appointed Dean – Research, Innovation, and Faculty Development, leading research excellence, doctoral program, faculty capability development, and innovation initiatives linked to technology and sustainability.
- Dr. Chandrima Sikdar has been appointed Dean – Academics and Learning Experience, overseeing academic strategy, curriculum innovation, student learning outcomes, and the OneMBA initiative to align quality and consistency across NMIMS campuses.
