The B.Tech AI alumnus and co-founder of Aignosis is using artificial intelligence to support early screening for autism and developmental delays in children.
Mumbai, October 10, 2026: Turning technological innovation into meaningful healthcare impact, Raksheet Jain, a 2024 alumnus of the Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering (MPSTME), SVKM’s NMIMS, is making strides in healthtech entrepreneurship as the co-founder of Aignosis. The Jaipur-based startup has raised ₹4 crore in seed funding to expand its AI-assisted screening platform for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental delays across India.
Jain was part of the first batch of B.Tech Artificial Intelligence at NMIMS MPSTME, graduating in 2024. His entrepreneurial journey reflects the growing role of technology-led innovation in addressing real-world challenges, particularly in healthcare, where early identification of developmental concerns can help children access appropriate clinical assessment and support.
Aignosis uses artificial intelligence and computer vision to analyse behavioural signals and generate screening reports that can indicate whether a child may require further clinical assessment. Designed to work with a standard laptop and webcam, the technology aims to make early developmental screening more accessible through healthcare settings. It supports the screening process and does not replace a clinical diagnosis.
The ₹4 crore seed funding round was led by Antler and investor Nikhil Kamath, with participation from investors including Varun Dua, IIMA Ventures and others. The funding is intended to support the startup’s expansion across India’s healthcare ecosystem.
Aignosis has also been building its reach through healthcare partnerships and government health centres, reflecting its focus on improving access to developmental screening beyond major urban centres.
Jain’s journey from engineering education to building a healthtech venture highlights how young innovators can apply their technical knowledge to address societal challenges. His achievement is also an example of NMIMS alumni translating their learning into entrepreneurial initiatives with the potential to create meaningful impact. Through its emphasis on technology, innovation and interdisciplinary learning, NMIMS MPSTME aims to equip students with the knowledge and capabilities to explore emerging opportunities and contribute to evolving industry needs.
