SVKM’s NMIMS Navi Mumbai Campus, through its School of Commerce, successfully organised SOCialise 4.0, a flagship student-led campus initiative that brought together over 500 student registrations across academic, cultural, sports, and innovation-focused activities. The event aimed to promote experiential learning, leadership development, and collaborative engagement beyond the classroom.
A Platform for Holistic Student Development
SOCialise 4.0 was designed as a multi-dimensional engagement platform encouraging creativity, teamwork, healthy competition, and interpersonal skill-building. The event featured a diverse line-up including sports competitions, recreational challenges, academic games, entrepreneurship-focused activities, and cultural showcases. Each event was conceptualised and executed by different student committees, reflecting strong inter-committee collaboration and student ownership.
Learning Through Real-Time Experience
At the core of SOCialise 4.0 was hands-on learning. Students participated in real-time challenges that strengthened key competencies such as communication, decision-making, problem-solving, creativity, and time management. Those involved in planning and execution gained valuable exposure to event management, leadership roles, and professional accountability, enhancing their readiness for future academic and career pathways.
Strengthening Campus Culture and Institutional Identity
The initiative played a significant role in reinforcing NMIMS Navi Mumbai’s vibrant campus culture and student-centric ethos. The large-scale participation and seamless coordination highlighted the institution’s focus on nurturing confident, agile learners capable of adapting to dynamic environments. SOCialise 4.0 also strengthened the institute’s brand visibility by showcasing its emphasis on innovation, leadership, and experiential education.
Industry Exposure and External Engagement
SOCialise 4.0 facilitated meaningful interaction with external stakeholders and sponsors, particularly through entrepreneurship and business-oriented events. These engagements provided industry exposure to student talent and creativity, contributing to stronger industry–academia connections and opening avenues for future internships, mentorships, and collaborative initiatives.
Sustainability and Social Sensitivity
Aligned with responsible practices, the event adopted eco-conscious measures such as digital registrations, reduced paper usage, and efficient resource management. The inclusion of Aashayein 3.0, an initiative involving underprivileged children on campus, further reinforced values of inclusivity, empathy, and social responsibility among students.
Through SOCialise 4.0, SVKM’s NMIMS Navi Mumbai continues to reaffirm its commitment to experiential learning, student leadership, and the creation of meaningful campus experiences that prepare students for real-world challenges.
