SVKM’s NMIMS Bengaluru Showcases Academic Leadership at International Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship

SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Bengaluru, demonstrated strong academic leadership and research engagement at the International Conference on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Deep-Tech Startups: Role of Entrepreneurial Universities,” held over three days.

The conference brought together academicians, researchers, industry leaders, and innovators to engage in discussions around entrepreneurship, innovation, and deep-tech ecosystems.

On Day 1, NMIMS Bengaluru contributed through key academic roles, with Dr. Narayani Ramachandran, Campus Director, NMIMS Bengaluru, serving as Co-Chair for the Paper/Abstract Track on Social Entrepreneurship alongside global academicians. Further strengthening the institutional presence, Dr. Kush Kalra was part of the Event Organising Committee. The conference also featured a research presentation by Dr. Kush Kalra and Prof. Ameya Sapre titled “Rising Trends of Digitalization: A Case Study on Women Entrepreneurs in Bengaluru,” under the Technology Transfer and Commercialization track.

On Day 2, the institution continued its active participation across multiple academic tracks. Dr. Neelima Watve served as Co-Chair for the Paper/Abstract Track on Innovation and Startup Competitiveness alongside Dr. Joanna Stryjek from the Warsaw School of Economics, Poland, while Dr. Dileep S served as Co-Chair for the Paper/Abstract Track on Startup and Innovation Policy alongside Prof. Rajeev Kamineni from The Adelaide University, Australia.

On the final day, Dr. Awantika Rajauria represented NMIMS Bengaluru as Co-Chair for the Paper/Abstract Track on Entrepreneurial Economics / Domestic Entrepreneurship alongside Prof. Ajay K. Manrai from the University of Delaware, United States.

The valedictory session was attended by Dr. Narayani Ramachandran, along with faculty members including Dr. Dileep S, Dr. Awantika Rajauria, Dr. Neelima Watve, Prof. Basavaraja PM, Ms. Prabhavathy C, and Dr. Kush Kalra, further highlighting the institution’s active engagement throughout the conference.

Over the course of three days, the conference facilitated meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaborative engagement, reinforcing discussions around innovation, entrepreneurship, and the evolving role of universities in supporting deep-tech startup ecosystems.

The participation reflects NMIMS Bengaluru’s continued commitment to academic excellence, research contribution, and fostering industry-relevant learning environments.
