Vandita Pathak, a Computer Engineering graduate from SVKM’s NMIMS Indore (Class of 2025), has been awarded the prestigious Dr. Martin Rahe Scholarship, enabling her to pursue a Master’s in FinTech and Business Analytics at EADA Business School, Barcelona, Spain.
The scholarship, part of the EADA Fund for Positive Impact, offers 100% support covering tuition and residential expenses and is awarded to young women from South and Southeast Asia demonstrating exceptional promise in leadership, entrepreneurship, and social innovation.
During her academic journey at NMIMS Indore, Vandita combined technical expertise with a strong focus on real-world impact. In 2023–24, she conceptualised and developed “Sehat Sathi,” a healthcare-focused innovation aimed at addressing medication non-adherence among elderly individuals and patients with chronic illnesses.
Sehat Sathi is designed as a smart, internet-enabled medicine management system, integrating a connected medicine box with a mobile application that sends timely reminders and ensures disciplined medication intake. The solution focuses on simplicity, affordability, and ease of use, making it accessible for elderly users as well as working professionals managing long-term health conditions.
Her project received national recognition, being shortlisted among the Top 4 teams out of 1000+ participants at the Business Darbar pitching competition at IIT Jodhpur, where it stood out as a healthcare-focused innovation in the final round. The initiative was also acknowledged by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, underscoring its social relevance and innovation potential.
Beyond academics, Vandita actively contributed to campus life through leadership roles and student engagement initiatives. As a core member of the Turing Technical Club, she supported the organization of technical events and innovation-driven activities. She was also involved in Samarthan and Jagruti, contributing to social outreach and awareness initiatives within the institute.
Her work on Sehat Sathi, along with her leadership and academic contributions, played a pivotal role in her selection for the Dr. Martin Rahe Scholarship.
Currently studying at EADA Business School, Vandita is gaining interdisciplinary exposure to business analytics, financial modelling, risk management, and FinTech innovation, alongside strengthening her global perspective through interactions with a diverse international cohort.
Reflecting on her journey, Vandita aims to leverage technology, analytics, and entrepreneurship to build scalable solutions that address real-world challenges and create meaningful social impact.
