On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Chandigarh campus organized a Tree Plantation Drive, reaffirming its commitment towards environmental sustainability and climate action.
The initiative was spearheaded by Dr. Jyotsna Singh, Campus Director, along with Mr. Abhinav Kaushik, Deputy Registrar, and Mr. Gurpreet Singh from the Placement Department. Their leadership set the tone for a meaningful and impactful activity aligned with responsible environmental practices.
The drive saw active and enthusiastic participation from administrative, security, housekeeping, and support staff members, reflecting a strong sense of collective responsibility across the campus community.
Aligned with this year’s theme, “Climate Action – For Climate. For Our Future,” the initiative emphasized the importance of individual and institutional efforts in contributing to a sustainable future. The plantation drive served as a powerful reminder that small, consistent actions can create a lasting positive impact on the environment.
Speaking on the occasion, the campus leadership reiterated NMIMS Chandigarh’s commitment to fostering environmental consciousness and integrating sustainability into everyday practices.
