SVKM’s NMIMS Navi Mumbai recently hosted a S8UL Gaming and Esports Event , bringing together students and gaming creators for an engaging afternoon centred on esports, competition, content creation and student interaction.
The event featured S8UL personalities Mr. Jay, HeadFlicker and Binks, who interacted with students and shared insights into the world of competitive gaming and content creation.
A FIFA tournament formed a key part of the event, with students competing through multiple rounds before the top teams advanced to the semi-finals and final. The event also featured an Audience FIFA Challenge, offering a student the opportunity to compete directly with one of the visiting creators.
The programme continued with a Watch Party, where the creators revisited memorable moments from the S8UL journey and shared live commentary and perspectives. An interactive Q&A session gave students an opportunity to engage with the creators and discuss topics including careers in content creation, competitive gaming and navigating challenges within the industry.
The event concluded with a Meet and Greet, allowing students to interact with the creators and capture memorable moments from the day.
The S8UL Gaming and Esports Event provided NMIMS Navi Mumbai students with an opportunity to engage with the growing esports and gaming ecosystem beyond the classroom. By bringing together competition, industry interaction and student participation, the event reflected the University’s efforts to create experiences aligned with students’ evolving interests and aspirations.
