Mumbai: Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, NMIMS, hosted a special seminar titled ‘Law and Hope’ on August 21, 2026, at the Moot Court Room, bringing together students and faculty for a thought-provoking discussion on the transformative role of law in shaping a just and hopeful future.
The session featured Professor Imelda Maher, MRIA, Dean of Law and Sutherland Full Professor of European Law at UCD Sutherland School of Law, Belfield, Dublin, who shared insights from her extensive experience in European law and legal scholarship. Mr. Unnmy Krishnan from UCD also accompanied Professor Maher and contributed to the discussion.
The seminar explored the intersection of law and hope, encouraging participants to reflect on how legal institutions, principles and professionals can contribute to building a more just, equitable and compassionate society. The session also provided students with an opportunity to engage with a global perspective on legal education and the role of law in addressing contemporary societal aspirations.
