Navi Mumbai: SVKM’s NMIMS Navi Mumbai successfully concluded the NMIMS Football League (NFL), an inter-school football tournament that brought together football enthusiasts from across the campus. SOL Blasters emerged as the champions, while SOE Warriors finished as the runners-up.
The tournament provided students with a competitive platform to showcase their football skills while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship and a spirit of healthy competition. A total of eight teams participated in the league, competing across a series of closely contested matches.
Adding a strategic element to the tournament, a players’ and owners’ auction was conducted before the commencement of the league. The auction enabled team owners to build their respective squads, bringing an additional layer of planning and strategy to the competition.
The NFL also featured a Girls’ Exhibition Match, providing female footballers with an opportunity to showcase their talent and be part of the tournament experience. The match highlighted the importance of inclusivity and encouraged greater participation in sports.
Following a series of competitive fixtures, SOL Blasters secured the championship title, while SOE Warriors finished as the runners-up. Both teams demonstrated determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
The successful conclusion of NFL was supported by the collective efforts of the Sports Committee, participating teams and everyone involved in organising and supporting the tournament. The event provided students with an engaging sporting experience while strengthening the culture of participation, teamwork and sportsmanship on the NMIMS Navi Mumbai campus.
