Taiwan Higher Education Delegation visits NMIMS

Mumbai, 15 October 2019: It’s rightly said that 21st century is the age of Asia and with the faster adoption of newer technologies and its rapid implementation; the continent is poised for sustained long-term growth. And propelling this trend is the sharp focus on Education in Asia with a strong impetus to develop new-age courses to shape the fertile minds of tomorrow.

 

 

 

 

 

Against this background, with an aim to foster future partnership in higher education, Taiwan Higher Education Delegation from 8 different universities visited NMIMS Deemed to be University.

Dr. Rajan Saxena (Vice Chancellor, NMIMS) outlined the fact that NMIMS being a Category I University with its unique programs has the rare ability to trigger intellectual excitement and right partnerships ensure that the growth of society is accelerated manifold. He also added that Taiwan and India both have a great culture of entrepreneurship which needs bright and thought provoking leaders to sustain the momentum.

Professor Wei-Chung Wang (Senior Advisor for Global Affairs – National Tsing Hua University) elaborated that Taiwan provides a high-tech environ to aspiring students to realize their true potential and move ahead with confidence. He also shared that India cannot be ignored at any cost and he looks forward to sign more MOUs in India as the country looks promised to lead the world in the coming years.

 

 

 

 

The discussion focused on how to imbibe the best education practices to spur innovation and facilitate better exchange of ideas between Taiwan and India. Delegation from both countries also agreed to work out multi-disciplinary approaches and launch of dual programs with the current trends in mind to create a perfect holistic learning experience for students.
