Bengaluru, June 2026: NMIMS School of Business Management (SBM), Bengaluru, welcomed the MBA Batch of 2026–28 with an orientation programme designed to introduce students to the school’s academic ecosystem, industry-oriented curriculum, and experiential learning approach.
The inauguration ceremony marked the beginning of the students’ management journey, bringing together academic leaders, industry experts, alumni, faculty members, and the incoming MBA cohort. The programme highlighted SBM Bengaluru’s commitment to nurturing future-ready leaders equipped to navigate an evolving business environment.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Surendra Bashani, Head of BestBuy India, who shared industry perspectives on leadership, innovation, and creating meaningful impact in today’s dynamic business landscape.
Adding an alumni perspective, Mr. Vijesh Ramachandran Nair, Director – Supply Operations, Campaign Management & Revenue Planning, Food Marketplace at Swiggy, interacted with the students, reflecting on his professional journey and highlighting the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and excellence in building successful careers.
As part of Orientation Week 2026, students also participated in a dedicated session on “Experiential Learning and Management Education: Developing a Growth Mindset,” conducted by Mr. Chirag Suchak, HR Head, Settlin. The session focused on cultivating a growth mindset, embracing continuous learning, and leveraging experiential learning to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the modern business world.
Throughout the orientation programme, students were introduced to SBM Bengaluru’s academic framework, industry engagement initiatives, collaborative learning environment, student support systems, and opportunities for holistic development. The programme emphasized the importance of adaptability, resilience, innovation, and lifelong learning as essential attributes for future business leaders.
