Shirpur, July 2026: SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Shirpur Campus, achieved another significant milestone with the inauguration of its newly constructed D-Wing (Academic Infrastructure) at Mukesh Patel Technology Park. The occasion was marked by a traditional Satyanarayan Puja, seeking divine blessings for prosperity, knowledge, and the continued growth of the institution.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon. Shri Bhupeshbhai R. Patel, Joint President, SVKM; and Mrs. Rita Patel, In-Charge, NMIMS Shirpur Campus. Faculty members, staff, and students also attended the event, making it a memorable occasion in the institute’s journey toward academic excellence.
Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries emphasized the importance of providing world-class educational infrastructure to support quality teaching, research, innovation, and industry-oriented learning. They appreciated the rapid development of the Shirpur Campus and reaffirmed SVKM’s commitment to nurturing future-ready professionals equipped with technical expertise, ethical values, and leadership qualities.
The newly inaugurated academic wing has been designed to provide a modern and technology-enabled learning environment. The first floor comprises three spacious classrooms, two tutorial rooms, six laboratories, a seminar hall, and a dedicated workspace for student clubs. The second floor includes three additional classrooms, six advanced laboratories, another seminar hall, and the Placement Department, creating an integrated academic and career development ecosystem.
A major highlight of the new facility is its state-of-the-art laboratories, developed to meet evolving industry requirements. These include specialized laboratories for Computer Vision, Big Data Analytics, High-Performance Computing, and Simulation, enabling students to gain practical exposure to emerging technologies alongside classroom learning. The infrastructure has been thoughtfully planned to promote experiential learning, interdisciplinary research, innovation, and collaboration.
The modern classrooms and seminar halls are equipped to facilitate interactive teaching, workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and academic events, creating an engaging environment that supports both faculty and students. The dedicated placement facility further strengthens industry interaction and enhances career opportunities for graduates.
Following the inauguration, the dignitaries toured the new facilities and appreciated the advanced infrastructure developed to support the institute’s academic vision. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prasad, reflecting the institution’s unique blend of cultural traditions and modern educational values.
To complete the development of the infrastructure, the Campus Administration Department, under the leadership of Mr. Shivaji Gaikwad; the SVKM Projects Department and its team, under the guidance of Mr. Ishwar Patil; the architectural team led by Mr. Bijal Doshi; and the University and Campus IT Department, under the leadership of Mr. Jagat Kilawala, made significant and valuable contributions.
The inauguration of the Academic D-Wing marks a new chapter in the growth of SVKM’s NMIMS Shirpur Campus. The expanded infrastructure will significantly enhance academic delivery, research capabilities, industry collaboration, and student development. With this addition, the campus further reinforces its commitment to providing world-class education and preparing students to become competent professionals and responsible global citizens.
