SVKM’s NMIMS Jyoti Dalal School of Liberal Arts Welcomes the Class of 2026 with an Inspiring Orientation Programme

SVKM’s NMIMS Jyoti Dalal School of Liberal Arts (JDSoLA) welcomed its incoming batch through Orientation Programme 2026, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey centered on interdisciplinary learning, critical thinking, and personal growth.

The programme commenced with the traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolising the light of knowledge, hope, and new beginnings. The ceremony reflected the institution’s commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity, creativity, and holistic development among students.

The incoming batch was welcomed by distinguished academic leaders, including Shalin S. Divatia, Mentor, Jyoti Dalal School of Liberal Arts; Dr. Rupakjyoti Borah, Dean & Professor, JDSoLA; Dr. Deepti Puranik, Chairperson, Department of Psychology; and Dr. Brijesh Tripathi, Chairperson, Department of Liberal Arts.

Addressing the students, the speakers highlighted the importance of embracing diverse perspectives, nurturing creativity, and developing the skills required to navigate a rapidly evolving world. They encouraged students to make the most of the opportunities offered through liberal arts education while cultivating a sense of purpose and social responsibility.

Through insightful interactions with faculty members and academic leaders, the incoming cohort gained a deeper understanding of the values and vision that define the JDSoLA experience.
