Bengaluru, 2026: SVKM’s NMIMS Bengaluru celebrated the graduating Class of 2026 through its Degree Distribution Ceremonies, marking an important milestone in the academic journey of students across its schools. The ceremonies brought together graduating students, faculty members, leadership and distinguished guests to celebrate academic accomplishments, recognise excellence and mark the beginning of a new chapter for the graduating cohort.
The first ceremony celebrated graduates from the School of Commerce, School of Economics and School of Mathematical Sciences, Statistics and Analytics (SOMASA). The graduating cohort comprised students from the BBA, B.Com and B.Sc. Finance programmes at the School of Commerce, B.Sc. Economics at the School of Economics, and B.Sc. Data Science at SOMASA.
The ceremony was graced by Mr. Suresh Narayanan, Former Chairman & Managing Director, Nestlé India Limited, as the Chief Guest. Sharing his insights and words of wisdom with the graduating students, Mr. Narayanan added significance to the occasion and encouraged students as they prepared to embark on their professional journeys.
A special highlight of the ceremony was the launch of Courage Under Fire by Mr. Narayanan, adding another meaningful dimension to the celebration.
The occasion also recognised contributions and excellence across the NMIMS Bengaluru community through the Annual Awards. The recipients included Dr. Awantika Rajauria, Teaching Excellence of the Year; Dr. Shreya Chakraborthy, Best Research Faculty of the Year; Dr. Kavitha Desai and Prof. Anand Prakash, Appreciation Award for Multi-Campus Programme Coordination; and Mr. Shekar S and Mr. Bheemashankar, Best Administrative Staff of the Year.
The School of Law also celebrated its graduating students through the UG Degree Distribution Ceremony 2026. Graduates from the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) programmes were felicitated as they marked the completion of their undergraduate legal education.
The ceremony welcomed Mr. Nandakumar C. K., Senior Advocate, High Court of Karnataka, as the Chief Guest and Ms. Sharda Balaji, Founder & Managing Partner, NOVOJuris Legal, as the Guest of Honour. Their presence brought valuable professional and industry perspectives to the occasion as graduates prepared to take their next steps in the legal profession and beyond.
The School of Law ceremony also recognised faculty and administrative excellence through its Staff & Faculty Awards. Mr. Niranjan M was recognised as Best Administrative Staff Member of the Year, while Prof. Prithvi KG received the Teaching Excellence of the Year award. Prof. Anjana S. and Prof. Ameya Sapre were recognised for Best Faculty – Multi-Campus Programme Coordination.
Across both ceremonies, the celebrations reflected the diverse achievements and contributions of the NMIMS Bengaluru community. Beyond the formal conferment of degrees, the occasions highlighted the perseverance, dedication, learning and excellence demonstrated by students throughout their academic journeys.
As the Class of 2026 stepped forward into new opportunities, the ceremonies marked both an end and a beginning—celebrating the accomplishments of the graduating students while looking ahead to their continued growth and success.
