Mumbai, September 2026: Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations across SVKM’s NMIMS campuses in Shirpur, Indore, Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru brought together students, faculty and staff in a vibrant celebration of devotion, culture, creativity and community spirit.
Across campuses, the festivities reflected the diverse ways in which the NMIMS community came together to welcome Ganpati Bappa, with traditional ceremonies, aartis, cultural performances, music, dance and opportunities for collective participation.
NMIMS Shirpur: Five Days of Faith, Talent and Culture
At NMIMS Shirpur Campus, Ganesh Utsav was celebrated as a cherished campus tradition through a vibrant five-day celebration from 14 to 18 September.
The festivities began on 14 September with Ganesh Sthapana in the morning, followed by a soulful Bhajan Sandhya in the evening. On the second day, students showcased their creativity and talents through a Talent Hunt.
The third day featured a programme by the Each One Save One Club, highlighting social responsibility and collective participation. The campus then came alive with student performances during the Cultural Programme on 17 September, celebrating artistic expression and diversity.
The celebrations concluded on 18 September with Satyanarayan Pooja and Ganesh Visarjan, marking a heartfelt farewell to Bappa. The five-day celebration brought together faith, creativity, talent and community spirit, creating memorable experiences for the NMIMS Shirpur family.
NMIMS Indore: Ten Days of Devotion and Togetherness
At NMIMS Indore, Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations commenced on 14 September with Ganesh Sthapna across the main campus, girls’ hostel and boys’ hostel. The arrival of the idols was marked by vibrant colours, flowers, energetic dhol beats and a joyful procession, followed by the traditional Sthapna ceremony and Prasad distribution.
Over the following ten days, the campus resonated with daily aartis led by hostel students, faculty members from the School of Law, School of Commerce, School of Business Management, School of Pharmacy & Technology Management and School of Technology, Engineering & Mathematics, along with administrative and support staff.
The celebrations provided an opportunity for the wider NMIMS community to come together in a shared spirit of faith and fellowship.
The festivities culminated in a grand Ganpati Visarjan featuring Chappan Bhog, Maha Aarti and Visarjan Puja. Students joined the celebrations with music and dance as the campus community came together to bid a joyful farewell to Ganpati.
NMIMS Navi Mumbai: Celebrating Through Music and Dance
At NMIMS Navi Mumbai, Ganesh Chaturthi was marked by student participation and cultural celebrations. The festivities featured dance performances by the student society, adding an energetic and creative dimension to the campus celebrations.
The event provided students with an opportunity to come together, participate in cultural activities and celebrate the festival in the spirit of community and togetherness.
NMIMS Hyderabad: A Celebration of Devotion, Music and Togetherness
At NMIMS Hyderabad, Ganesh Chaturthi brought the campus community together in an atmosphere filled with devotion, music, colour and celebration.
The festivities around SOC’s Ganapati featured traditional elements alongside student-led cultural activities. Music, dance, games and collective participation created an energetic campus atmosphere and gave students an opportunity to celebrate together.
The celebrations reflected the spirit of Nirvana, with students coming together to create shared memories through music, cultural activities and moments of fellowship.
NMIMS Bengaluru: Three Days of Celebration and Community Spirit
At NMIMS Bengaluru, Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations were held both at the hostel and on campus, giving students multiple opportunities to come together and participate in the festivities. A hostel celebration was organised during the first week of September, followed by the main campus celebrations from 23 to 25 September 2026.
The campus festivities commenced on 23 September with Ganesh Sthapana and Aarti, followed by cultural performances and a community gathering. Students and members of the campus community came together through the day, with an evening Aarti bringing the first day’s celebrations to a close.
The celebrations continued on 24 September with morning and evening Aartis, providing opportunities for the campus community to come together in prayer and fellowship.
On 25 September, the final day began with a morning Aarti, followed by Ganesh Visarjan in the afternoon. The three-day celebration brought together devotion, cultural participation and community spirit, creating a meaningful experience for the NMIMS Bengaluru community.
A Celebration Across the NMIMS Community
While each campus marked Ganesh Chaturthi in its own distinctive way, the celebrations across Shirpur, Indore, Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru shared a common thread of devotion, cultural expression and togetherness.
From traditional poojas and aartis to student performances, music, dance and community activities, the celebrations provided students with opportunities to participate beyond the classroom and connect with their peers and the wider campus community.
