Today, Dr. Manasi Vahia facilitated the first of three sessions of the Group Process Lab (GPL) for MBA Year I students at NMIMS Ahmedabad.
The GPL is an experiential learning lab designed to help students understand the process of group work—its importance, challenges, and benefits—while learning how to collaborate effectively to achieve shared goals.
The focus wasn’t on completing activities, but on reflecting on how teams function: How do leaders emerge? How are decisions made? How is conflict managed? How do individual strengths come together to create collective success?
It was rewarding to see students participate with enthusiasm, challenge one another’s thinking, and learn by doing. The debrief discussions demonstrated how experiential activities can spark meaningful insights into teamwork, communication, and self-awareness.
A reminder that some of the most valuable management lessons are not taught—they are experienced.
