Mumbai, May 2026: Ms. Shraddha Pandit, Assistant Professor of Law and Ph.D. Candidate at SVKM’s Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, NMIMS, was invited as a Guest Speaker for the session titled “Cyber Law: The Real World Impact on India, Nepal and Globally” as part of the KSL Lecture Series organised by the Kathmandu School of Law, Suryabinayak-04, Bhaktapur, Bagmati, Nepal, on 10 May 2026 from 9.00 to 10.30 AM Nepal Time (8.45 to 10.15 AM IST).
Established in 2000 AD as an affiliate of Purbanchal University, the Kathmandu School of Law is a community-based, non-profit academic institution committed to delivering pragmatic, research-based and community-responsive legal education in Nepal. Conceived as part of a non-profit movement to address the need for academically sound and functionally relevant legal education, the institution has, in just over two decades, significantly shaped legal education in Nepal through its innovative courses, teaching methodologies and focus on developing quality legal professionals.
Since its inception, the institution has served students and scholars from diverse backgrounds and has brought about a paradigm shift in legal education through its state-of-the-art approaches, including clinical and community outreach programmes and research-based teaching methodologies. Today, it is recognised for its distinctive approach, quality and growing international standing in the field of legal education.
Ms. Pandit was invited to the prestigious and interactive lecture series by Dr. Amritha Shenoy, Associate Professor of Law, and Prof. Geeta Pathak Sangroula (Ph.D.), Executive Director of Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal. The guest lecture witnessed the participation of 22 attendees and provided a platform for engaging discussions on the evolving landscape of cyber law and its impact across India, Nepal and the global community.
This knowledge exchange further strengthens cross-border intellectual and academic relationships between India and Nepal, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration between the two neighbouring nations and proud members of the SAARC community.
