Mumbai, July 2026: SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), School of Law, welcomed its incoming Batch of 2026 through Deeksharamb – Orientation Programme 2026, marking the beginning of the students’ academic and professional journey in legal education.
The orientation programme was designed to familiarise students with the School’s academic framework, institutional values, experiential learning approach, and vibrant campus culture. It provided an opportunity for students to engage with the University’s leadership, faculty members, and peers while gaining an understanding of the academic expectations, student support systems, and professional opportunities available during their law school journey.
The inaugural session was led by Dr. Durgambini Patel, Dean, NMIMS School of Law, and was graced by Hon’ble Justice Roshan Dalvi (Retd.) as the Chief Guest, Dr. Asha Bajpai as the Guest of Honour, and Dr. Tanmoy Chakraborty, Registrar, SVKM’s NMIMS.
The programme featured insightful sessions introducing students to the academic curriculum, experiential learning opportunities, research initiatives, student life, and the various academic and co-curricular activities that form an integral part of legal education at NMIMS. Students also interacted with faculty members and institutional leadership, enabling them to begin their academic journey with confidence and clarity.
Throughout the programme, students were encouraged to embrace the principles of integrity, empathy, ethical leadership, and professional excellence while developing the critical thinking, advocacy, and analytical skills required to succeed in the legal profession.
