Dr. Bhat checked various facilities of the campus such as academic infrastructure of all schools, laboratories, central library, hostels, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, Gymnasium, music room, SOBUS Centre for Excellence in Entrepreneurship, Agricultural farms, Academy of Aviation facilities and inaugurated “Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology and Genetics” at School of Pharmacy and Technology Management.
He also conducted a meeting with all School Heads and Central Administration, all faculty, interacted with Students Council members, Clubs/Committee Leads, Class Representatives of all the courses of Shirpur Campus. He guided students on academic and carrier front and took promise from them to make campus 0 tolerant for all unfair means.
Dr. Bhat encouraged all faculty and staff members to prepare short and long term strategic plans for each responsibility/portfolio they are handling and continuously evaluate the performance, measure the outcomes & take corrective actions targeting continuous Improvement.
Dr. Bhat inaugurated different initiatives of Shirpur Campus such as Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Intellectual Property Rights Cell (IPR Cell), Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell), Institute – Industry Interaction and Internship Cell (I4 Cell), National Innovation & Start-up Policy Cell (NISP Cell) and Event Management System (EMS) Portal developed by MPSTME student team. He congratulated all the faculty and students involved in these initiatives and appreciated the efforts of all IIC council members and acknowledged Dr Sunita Patil, Director Shirpur Campus for taking various initiatives for Campus growth.
Dr. Bhat also inaugurated “NMIMS EduGenAI Newsletter”, Issue – 1, Volume – 1, at Shirpur Campus. He appreciated the efforts of Dr. Praveen Kumar Loharkar, Assistant Professor, MPSTME, Shirpur Campus (Managing Editor of Newsletter) and GenAI Anchor Team representatives from all schools and Campuses of NMIMS for taking GenAI initiative forward.
